In this blog post, I’m going to give you an easy step by step tutorial on how to make these DIY Spell Book brownies to get into the Halloween spirit or for your next movie night this October.

Now if you’re anything like me, you love homemade desserts BUT sometimes we need a bit more time or just to make things easier for ourselves. For these Halloween treats, I bought STORE BOUGHT brownies. Yes, you heard that right. Or maybe you could have guessed it, by how beautiful the brownies looked LOL.

Almost any grocery, should sell pre-made brownies. I bought these delicious fudge brownies from Wal-Mart. Not only did they look cute, they tasted amazing and I was able to whip up these Halloween treats pretty quickly. However, feel free to make your own delicious brownies for your spell book.

This recipe only requires 3 ingredients and I promise you will be super easy to make.

INGREDIENTS:

Brownies
Black Icing
Candy Eyeballs

STEP 1:

Firstly, place a small dot with the icing on the right hand side in the middle and place a candy eyeball on top.

STEP 2:

Next, draw a small circle with the black icing around the candy eyeball.

STEP 3:

Then, draw a chevron line or zigzag shape along the left side of the brownie vertically.

STEP 4:

Next, draw a vertical line to the right side of the chevron/zig zag line that you just created.

STEP 5:

Draw small lines horizontally down the line you just created. You’ll want to use a light hand when doing this so the lines aren’t so thick. Please be mindful of this when choosing the black icing decorating pen/tube.

STEP 6:

Last step on How to Make Hocus Pocus Spell book Brownies, is by drawing two mini quarter/half circles (one larger than the other) on both the upper right and lower right side of the brownie.
